USMC Sgt. Chris Hrbek was killed in Afghanistan on January 14th, 2010 while serving his 4th tour of duty. Sgt. Hrbek was the recipient of the Bronze Star with valor as well as the Purple Heart. Hrbeks 2 brothers are firefighters with the FDNY and the family had asked for a fire department presence at the service. Along with the 2 large busses of family and friends from his native NJ, firefighters from Arlington, PG and DC showed up in force to pay their respects to the fallen hero. Attached you will find Sgt.
