Just after 1512 hrs, units with the 2nd Battalion Fire Chief were alerted for a report of a house fire at 3350 Alden Pl. NE. Engine 30 arrived first due to find a 2 story middle of the row home with fire showing from the front. Truck 17 arrived right behind and went to work getting ladders in place as the Engine stretched a line. 30 Engine knocked down the fire on the front porch and the Truck Company checked for extension. The fire was contained to the front porch with only minor extension into the home. Unit operated for just over and hour before returning to service.
